Spawned, already necrosed and decomposing, a Nekros Fungi hive will aggressively spread outwards from a central ‘mother’ fungus. Forming a matrix of thick, fleshy veins, a colony keeps each individual fungus connected together, forming a primitive circulatory system; Transporting vital nutrients and pheromonic signals to each other through a pungent, black carrier fluid. When any individual begins to succumb completely to necrosis, the remaining fungi will purposely clot up their orifices, cutting off all symbiotic ties with the dying. The veins will drop to the ground and will reroute to preserve the remaining vital fluids.
The process is futile and oblivion is a certainty of their future.
