REBECCA MURRAY
Piece 1: Anonymous
Rebecca Murray’s work is a contemplation of how we relate and behave in ‘non-places’ (places of transience) such as the gardens, how they
encourage us to speak with strangers and what this free association can reveal. Murray seeks to intensify and engage the viewer with those moments that are quickly forgotten.
Piece 2: Birds
Murray’s darkly humorous work takes, as its departure point, an interpretation of the word Birds. Viewers are left to draw their own conclusion as to which meaning they might follow.
